Day 92/365- Judges 6:12, 15

"The Weakest Link"

The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, "Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!"
"But Lord," Gideon replied, "how can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!" (Judges 6:12, 15 NLT)

Remember the show, "The Weakest Link?" It was run by an angry British woman who said to the leaving contestants, "You are the weakest link, goodbye!" That goodbye had such a quick, sarcastic, & condescending tone to it! The person that got sent off was always a weak player & got voted off by others. The last player standing won.

Ever feel like that British woman is in your head? Ever feel like you are hearing, "You are the weakest link?" This is how Gideon feels. God is calling him, the guy in the weakest clan, the weakest family. Why would God do this?

God is about using weak things, displaying His strength, so that he gets the glory. God could have used a big army. He could of used a decorated officer or commander. He could have used an assassin or a man of great stature. But he didn't. God used Gideon.

You may think that you are the weakest link in your family, small group, church, and the kingdom of God. If so, you may be just the person God is looking to use! Why? Because it has nothing to do with us & everything to do with him!
