Day 32/365- Exodus 2:12

After looking in all directions to make sure no one was watching, Moses killed the Egyptian and hid the body in the sand. (Exodus 2:12 NLT)

God uses sinners. What's more, he uses murderers. The person that God would use to bring his people out is slavery is a murderer. Moses sees an Egyptian beating a Israelite & he kills the Egyptian. He flees for his life & God later calls him to lead his people.

God also used David who stole a man's wife, covered it up with her husband's murder, & is called a man after God's own heart in the Bible. These are the people that God has chosen to use for his purposes & his glory.

This should give us great hope. Jesus says in Matthew 5 that if we have ever hated our brother that we are murderers as well. I'm so glad that God uses murderers because if not, his work in the world would not be done.

God uses sinners.

And it doesn't matter what we have done in our past, if we are his & have been forgiven, he wants to use us for his glory. Past failures do not disqualify us from future usefulness. Why? Because we can't take the credit. He gets all the glory.

What is in our past that is hindering God's use of us? Let it go! Let's give ourselves to him for his glory!
