Walking Though the Bible

This year our church is reading through the Chronological Bible. My goal is to choose one verse or passage from the reading & share what the Lord spoke to me about that day. It's easy for me to read the Bible & do what the book of James says in James 1:22-25.  "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."
It's easy to "look into" the word & walk away without having gained anything at all. It's my hope that I will not just read black ink on white paper but see God engage my heart on a daily basis & be changed by his activity.
Come along & walk through the Bible with me!
